The English Institute of Sport features a nationwide network of regional world class support centres funded by the Sport England Lottery Fund and operated by a range of partners. 

The EIS provides services from High Performance Centres across three Directorates; North, Central and South, led by Regional Directors.

The sites are generally referred to as either 'hub' sites or 'satellite' sites. Hub sites support the majority of athletes with a broad range of support services. Alternatively, the 'satellite' sites generally support a smaller number of athletes from where a more limited range of services are delivered.
